Mahogany Springs is the ‘new kid on the block’ in northern Bwindi. Since opening in 2011, it has created quite a stir, reaching the coveted number 1 spot on Trip Advisor within months of its launch. I recently stayed at the lodge whilst accompanying two clients on safari, and was very impressed. It ticks a lot of the boxes of what I would expect of a lodge of its kind, but also manages to subvert the genre and do things, well, just a little bit differently.
